Impact has an immediate opening for a Welder who has experience welding multiple gages of material and had an automotive welding background. This facility a leading supplier to the automotive, aerospace and defense industries

Welder Core Responsibilities:

  • Able to consistently weld using MIG and TIG equipment
  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketched, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
  • Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead.)
  • Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses
  • Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required
  • Be able to successfully complete any customer-directed welding certifications
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
  • Determines required equipment and welding methods, apply knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and other welding techniques
  • Support compliance with facility's Quality Policies
  • Support ISO 9001 continuous improvement initiative
  • Any other duties as assigned

Welder Requirements:

  • 1 year of Welder experience (MIG and TIG)
  • General knowledge of welding and blue print reading
  • Your own tools
  • Steady work history
  • Reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED

Welder Shift Time: 1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm)

Welder Pay Rate: $16-$17/hr (Depending on experience)
