Job Description

Our client, Eberspaecher - one of the world's leading developers of exhaust technology, vehicle heaters, and bus air conditioning systems has an immediate need for Maintenance Technicians. Maintenance Technicians will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures and pipe and electrical systems in industrial establishment. Maintenance Technician will report to Manager, Maintenance.

Essential Maintenance Technician Duties:

  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment and document maintenance activities; inspect and listen for any malfunctions
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
  • Clean, adjust and calibrate welding equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining 5S in department and periodically participating with audit process
  • Assist in tool, fixture, and material flow and continuous improvements for those areas
  • Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting problems of all equipment Practice safe use of hand and machine tools, i.e. grinders, saws, lathes and mills.

Additional Maintenance Technician Duties:

  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training in a maintenance role
  • Three years of experience working around robotics and automated weld cells

Other Requirements:

  • Understand and apply all aspects of Manual and Automated Welding including MIG and TIG
  • Knowledgeable on PLC and electrical diagrams preferred
  • Understands MIG welding process and demonstrated skill
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word, Outlook
  • Ability to commute to Wixom, MI daily

Shift Times:

1st shift 6am-2:30pm

2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm
