Job Description

Impact is looking for a Customer Service Representative at our established client in Auburn Hills. The Customer Service Representative’s objective is to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers by efficiently, professionally, and effectively handling all customer ordering and/or informational needs.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests, and enters the information into an EDI/ERP System(s).
  • Processes customer order/changes inquires according to organization policies and procedures.
  • Updates and monitors various area metrics such as inventory levels, on time delivery and related customer and production support.
  • Communicates information regarding customers to Sales, Production, and other departments as necessary.
  • Checks shipped orders to ensure they are accurate with regard to quantity shipped, and resolve all delivery issues.
  • Compiles statistics and prepares various reports for management.
  • Permanent presence is required.

Requirements:

  • strong computer skills and knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. AX Dynamics, CMS, and MAPICS ERP system knowledge desired. Ford, GM, Chrysler Portal Knowledge.
  • Clear and professional communication skills with customers and internal company resources.
  • Working knowledge of ERP and J-I-T technique
  • Production planning and capacity analysis
  • Decision analysis
  • Lean manufacturing techniques
  • ISO/TS and SPC understanding
  • Blueprint reading and basic mathematical understanding
  • Team building

  • Communication skills, written and verbal
  • Organizational effectiveness, including personal time management
  • Negotiation skills

Education and/or Experience:

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two year college, business or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Rate:

$22.00/hour with increase once hired in

8:00 am-4:30 pm
