Job Description

Job Summary:


The Corporate Sales Representative is responsible for attending Cheese Shows and sourcing new clients for the gift basket business to ensure the longevity of year-round sales. This position also assists in the Retail Store and Deli.


 


 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


·        Gift Baskets


o   Source new clients for the Retail Store gift basket business.


o   Maintain lasting relationships with clients.


o   Increase sales through high quality customer contact.


o   Manage gift basket orders, ensuring they are filled, shipped and delivered.


·        Cheese Shows


o   Attends various Cheese Shows, acting as a corporate representative on behalf of Simon’s Specialty Cheese.


·        Retail Store


o   Greet customers entering the establishment, contributing to a positive guest experience by exceeding their expectations and preparing orders to their specifications.


o   Maintain an orderly and clean check out area.


o   Run the cash register; receiving payment by cash, check, or credit card and issuing receipts, refunds, or change as needed.


o   Prepare and distribute sampling products to customers.


·        Deli


o   Assist Deli Coordinator as needed.


 


 


Other Duties and Responsibilities:


·        Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.


·        Safety Protocol


o   Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures.


o   Correct or report any observed safety hazards.


o   Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:


 


Education Required:


·        High School Diploma or equivalent required.


 


Experience Required:


·        Minimum two (2) years of related experience preferred.


 


Certification/Licensure Required:


·        None


 


Skills Required:


·        Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with executives, managers, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the organization.


·        Dedication to meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind.


·        Ability to extract, analyze, and act on information with limited supervisory input.


·        Result driven, bottom-line orientated, strives to exceed goals, and motivates self and others to achieve positive outcomes.


·        Ability to work with minimum supervision, adapt to a changing environment quickly, and think independently.


·        Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.


·        Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, coworkers and customers.


·        Basic computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook and field-specific software.


·        Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
