  • Directs all financial affairs of the organization.
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in the areas of income, cash, expenses and earnings.
  • Provides return on investment analysis for capital expenditures and any other economic objectives and policies.
  • Responsible for preparation of company budget, cash position and forecasts, analysis of current and past operations, variance, trends, costs and future forecasts.
  • Plans, directs and provides supervision to cost accounting activities. Develops, recommends and implements cost accounting systems, methods and procedures. Compiles data on costs, inventory accountability, labor distribution, actual cost verification, and variance computations. Provides information to management regarding costs of products, services, projects, inventory, etc.
  • Prepares state and local tax returns.
  • Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, and administrative commitments.
  • Develops, installs and maintains reporting systems which provide control of tax expenditures and marketing, production and labor, maintenance, or project activities.
  • Prepares bank statements and reports on compliance to bank covenants.
  • Verifies and oversees the placing and revising of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Verifies customer credit ratings and approves terms based on risk ratings.
  • Acts as point of contact with outside audit and advisory firm(s), banking institution(s), and liability insurance agents. Heads up outside financing initiatives to support business expansion plans.
  • Serves as Trustee for company’s 401k Plan.
  • Negotiates terms and pricing on large contracts, such as scrap and utility agreements. ? Prepares and submits tax abatement applications and R&D credits as needed.

  • Personal Effectiveness/Credibility Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or CPA. MBA is a plus.
  • Eight years’ experience in cost accounting and inventory control in a manufacturing environment.
  • Five years’ experience in management in an accounting/finance department.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Experience with Plex ERP software a plus.
  • Good organization and presentation skills.
  • Preparation of state, federal and local tax returns a plus.
