GENERAL SUMMARY:

The CNC Bending Specialist must be able to set up CNC Bending Machines. The CNC Bending Specialist must be able to assist in reading a Manufacturing Order (MO) to carry out the duty of bending the part to customer specifications.  The CNC Bending Specialist must check the parts being bent to ensure proper dimensions and show new employees how to run and check parts.  The CNC Bender also gives instruction to other operators.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Pick a job going off the work center.
  2. Set up all machines.
  3. Find the proper layout and tooling associated with the job at hand.
  4. Read layouts and gauges.
  5. Reading Blueprints
  6. Required to complete 1st piece and 50th piece checks to ensure quality parts.
  7. Keep up to maintain steady production numbers.
  8. Reports any job discrepancies to Production Management.
  9. Carries out all job duties, incorporating safe work habits and proper equipment.
  10. Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned, while maintaining a high standard of excellence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  1. Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate with management/Quality if a problem arises.
  3. Verbal skills required to communicate with staff and management using the English language. Communication must be clear to prevent errors, misunderstandings, etc.
  4. Ability to understand and interpret customer specifications and industry standards.
  5. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use calipers.
  6. Ability to read layouts and gauges.
  7. Ability to read Blueprints.
  8. Experience working with Eaton Leonard, Crippa, Addison, and Bend Pro Machines.
